Our Focus
Out of Bounds focuses on offering young ladies, in the community, the opportunity to learn faith-based principles to help them become balanced women of God. This is voluntary and is separate from the Out of Bounds program and funding. If young ladies have an interest in deepening their relationship with God, this is the perfect outlet for growth.
The principles focus on:
Changing and developing the mind by helping girls learn to think in a godly manner so that their actions, character, appearance and words will exemplify to whom they belong.
Renewing the minds of girls to lead a different course in life in seeking to please God and not themselves or others. Girls will come to a greater knowledge of the mind and will of God as well as the gifts he has given them to help them reach their destination.
Renewing the Spirit by helping them recognize their immoral behavior and the ways they have been bound TO their immoral behavior. Their renewed self, only through the Holy Spirit, can then be abound with grace, mercy, righteousness, integrity, and a heart fixed on trusting in Jesus.
Increasing the knowledge and understanding of God’s grace, mercy, and love
Enhancing the power and authority of our girls’ voices and choices to promote responsibility and accountability, independence, and wholeness as balanced women of God
Aspiring girls to live a Christ centered life, thus becoming a role model for their peers, communities and the world
Fostering sisterhood that crosses age, racial, and cultural barriers.
Spiritual Growth-Titus 2 Talk
Titus 2 Talk emerged out of the book of Titus, chapter 2:3-5, as it focuses on older women of faith having the responsibility to train younger women how to live as women of faith. The scriptures reads "3 Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. 4 These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, 5 to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God."
Our girls are faced with many challenges and issues in today's society with increased violence, social media, cyberbullying, substance abuse and many other things that can get them off track to living the lives destined for them. We will empower girls through biblical based lessons, in a group setting, covering various topics such as identity in Christ, living in the world, the role of women in the family, prayer, devotional time, relationships and dating, purpose and priority, and other topics of interest. We also our reaching women through our podcast called "Titus 2 Talk". As role models to our girls, we believe that by teaching, mentoring, guiding, supporting and equipping younger women then they will in turn teach and equip others and generations to come.
