Meet The Board of Directors
Arriba Walker- Founder, Executive Director and Board President
Mrs. Walker is first a woman of God, a wife, and a mother before anything else. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her M.A. in Community Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has a Nonprofit Management certificate from Capella University. She is a trauma informed community based therapist as she provides mental health treatment to children, youth and their families’, specifically adolescent girls. Her experience is also in the areas of school based therapy, therapeutic foster care, women's homelessness program, service coordination, family based services, outpatient therapy and currently works as a clinical supervisor for a mental health agency.
She began to serve in the community as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. She is a member of the Pittsburgh graduate chapter, is the advisor for their Rhoer Club girls youth group, and is the Chair of their Community Service Committee. Her personal, career, and business experiences have helped her build her entrepreneurial, leadership, advocacy skills and passion to serve the mission of Out of Bounds.
Board Members
Out of Bounds is governed by a diverse group of individuals that live within the community who volunteer their time, talents and gifts to provide leadership and promotion of the mission, vision and values of the organization. Our board members main goals are to be responsible for oversight of policies and finances of the organization, planning for the future of the organization, understanding our role in the community, attending board meetings, and actively participating.
Landa Harrison - Vice President
Landa Harrison, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Trauma Expert and Consultant, Certified Teacher, Professional Trainer and Coach. Landa is serving clients mental health needs in the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh’s North Side location. Landa has made her mark on the field of mental health counseling, she brings 26 years of experience in mental health, education, private practice, public health, and the non-profit sector focusing primarily on trauma informed care and best practice clinical interventions.
Ulysses Walker - Treasurer
Ulysses has 20 years experiences in retail sales and communications media as he brings a wealth of knowledge about business and finance managment.
Chiyel Young - Board Member
Chiyel has a passion to serve youth as she has been a youth care worker at Auberle for 5 years, serves as a Specialist for the PA National Guard, provides leadership and service as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and is a graduate of Indiana University of PA.
